In My Mother’s Honor

I was inspired to paint a new painting and I love using inks and collage. While I was tearing old paper and cards up I started reading one of the items. It was an anniversary card honoring my parents 1st anniversary. It was from her parents. The date was July 30, 1955. Was it a coincidence that I was reading it on July 30, 2026!!! I don’t believe it coincidences. I believe she was sending me a message from heaven.

She passed away in 2022 and I have so many of her old cards and pictures. She kept everything and it was a painful day when we had to go through her stuff. It drove me crazy to be honest. She absolutely kept her own baby announcements, report cards, every card she ever received. She was 92!

As I was tearing up paper for my new painting, I realized there was a reason that little piece of paper was in my hands. She left me pieces of herself.

I now incorporate these pieces of my life in my art. Look for it in hidden places
